Entertainment and Nightlife Spokane's arts scene and cultural heritage offer an incredible entertainment experience. There are award winning museums, orchestras, performing artists and Broadway shows (at the Performing Arts Center.) Parking is plentiful and easy. From comedy to concerts to theater, the performances and prices are tough to beat. Dining Numerous restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and bistros offer plenty of opportunities to gain caloric intake. Wine Tasting Washington is great wine country! The Spokane area alone has over 10 wine-tasting rooms. The Tri-Cities wine industry, a two-hour drive from Spokane, is second in size only to California’s Napa Valley and has another 10-plus tasting rooms. Washington State University, our closest PAC-10 school, is 70 miles south of Spokane. For professional sports, Spokane has several minor league franchises. The Spokane Chiefs hockey team of the Western Hockey League and the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League both play at the Spokane Arena, while the Spokane Indians baseball team, a Texas Rangers affiliate, play at Avista Stadium. |
