Spokane and the Inland Northwest
Spokane is the second largest city in Washington and third-largest in the Pacific Northwest with a county population of 451,000.

The city is the gateway to the Inland Pacific Northwest. It is located 18 miles west of the Idaho state line and 110 miles south of British Columbia, Canada. As the county seat, Spokane serves as the hub of the Inland Northwest. This is a region of 36 counties, encompassing parts of Montana, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, Alberta, as well as Washington. Over 1.7 million people reside within this trade zone.

The topography of this land varies from rolling wheat fields to snow-capped mountains, from forests to desert areas, and from clear lakes to raging rivers. Spokane is the center of an area which contains more varieties of wildlife than any other region in the contiguous United States. The Inland Northwest's abundant wildlife provides recreation and adventure for all.
