Research

During the R2 and R3 years, all residents are assigned a block of time to pursue scholarly activity and develop their procedure skills.

Residents are required to research and present a topic to the faculty and their peers at a noon conference. Faculty are assigned to assist the resident in topic selection, research gathering and organization of their ideas into a focused and concise presentation.

Residents are also encouraged to submit papers for publication or presentation at national meetings such as the regional ACP conference. Should a paper be selected for presentation, the program covers all travel expenses.
