(R1, R2, R3 years) The in-patient house staff ward service comprised of two interns and one senior resident, medical students, pharmacy students and a single, full-time faculty attending occurs at Providence SHMC. The full-time faculty's sole responsibility in this rotation is to provide clinical teaching and patient management supervision. Patients come from emergency room admissions, the Internal Medicine residency clinic and transfer from rural community hospitals. Residents caring for patients in the hospital could follow unassigned patients after discharge in their own ambulatory clinic. |
