Certifying Board Examination In preparation for passing the "boards," we purchase the Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (MKSAP) for each of our residents. We also require the second- and third-year residents to take the ACP In Training Examinations as "mock boards" to familiarize them with the type of questions they will be facing. Our three-year average board exam pass rate is 100%. Post Graduation We work to ensure that residents are happy with their career choices following graduation from our program. Training prepares the resident for specialty, hospitalist or primary care medicine. Fellowships The following is a sample of fellowship training undertaken recently by our graduates. Cardiology, University of Tennessee Critical Care, Oregon Health Sciences University Hematology-Oncology, Memorial Sloan Kettering, NY Neurology, University of Utah Hospitalists In the past three years, approximately one-third of our graduates have chosen careers as hospitalists in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the U.S. Primary Care Many of our graduates remain or return to practice in the Pacific Northwest as primary care providers. Practice types include large multi-specialty groups, small groups and VA hospitals. |
